Now you can find sexual health testing services on Emen8!
At Emen8 we’re all about making it that little bit easier for guys across Australia to live healthier lives. Because the merry-go-round of life is busy enough sorting out your car rego, renewing your sports club membership, visiting nan, messaging that cute guy you saw online…
So when it comes to looking after your sexual health on a regular basis, knowing where to go shouldn’t be one of the things making life any more challenging. To take the hassle out of finding a good healthcare provider, we found many of them for you!
Introducing Emen8’s new interactive map to help connect you with a good sexual health service wherever you are in Australia.
Using our new map enables you to:
- find nearby services
- browse for services around the country
- search for services by address, city, town or postcode
- find services specific to your needs
Our map includes services you can access to get tested for HIV and STIs, rapid testing services where you can wait for your results on the spot, and peer-run testing services operated by other gay and bisexual guys!
In the future, we’ll expand our map to help you find HIV specialist (S100) prescribers too.
World AIDS Day and Emen8’s testing campaign
As part of Emen8’s ongoing commitment to helping you live a healthier life, we’re launching our new map of testing services on World AIDS Day, which is held on December 1 each year.
To coincide with the launch, we’re also delivering a new testing campaign across the country, encouraging gay, bisexual and other men who have sex with men to find a sexual service and go for regular HIV and STI testing. So keep an eye out for our adverts across social media and your favourite dating or hookup apps.
It’s great that HIV self-testing kits will soon be available in Australia. But don’t forget the services you can find in our map are often free and can help you access comprehensive sexual health testing. Getting tested for STIs at the same time you go for an HIV test makes things convenient for you and is part of a good sexual health routine.
In addition to regular testing, in 2018 we have even more ways to prevent HIV than ever before. These include using condoms, PrEP, an undetectable viral load and PEP in an emergency.
